Many of us are reeling from the events last evening in Paris. Will the cold chills ever end when we talk about this tragedy? I think not, because we know we all live in fragile times.
Many will ask if I will continue to travel because of this event. My answer is unequivocally "Yes." Why? Because the more I travel, the more I love our world and its people. Travel helps me grow. Am I frightened? Of course I'm concerned, but I will not hide and cease to seek out understanding of different cultures. Am I frightened for my clients? I care about my clients safety and will do all I can to continue to guide them in making the safest choices for travel with companies that I know will take care of them in the event of an emergency. I will always encourage my clients to embrace our world and to continue to seek out culture and experiences.
Is travel safe? Ask yourself if Life is safe.....I think you will agree that we need to continue to live and seek understanding of our people and culture.

Scotland is on my mind more than usual because for the past couple of weeks, I have been designing a young couple's custom tour of Scotland. Their first five days are easy because they will attend the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival near Elgin. They contacted me for some advice and recommendations from for the rest of their time in this incredible country. I have really enjoyed helping these two extremely busy and wonderful people plan and ease the hassle of booking their travel arrangements to create a vacation just the way they want it. Islay will be on their itinerary and you can bet they won't soon forget their stay on this island.
AmaWaterways Holiday Cruises are up to 40% off for a limited-time. Think it will be too cold for you? Maybe not..as you can see from the picture I took while visiting the captain's deck one day on the Danube in December 2013.
